Our camps are designed to be a fun introduction to life on stage for beginners.
Improve communication skills in English and public speaking skills
Prepare a 20-minute show for parents at the end of the week with lights, sounds, scenery & costumes provided by us.
Full day program from 09:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday
No favoritism - each child gets a role with a minimum of 6 lines for their character.
Limited enrollment ensures personalised attention with a maximum of 24 - 36 students per week.
Small class sizes of 12 children maximum per teacher.

IBTS Certificate

Minimum of 6 lines per child in the end-of-week play
We don't like favoritism, every child should get their chance to shine.
Students can ask for less lines if they want.
That's why each child's character gets at least 6 lines end of week performance for parents
Certificate
Each child is awarded with an International British Theatre School Certificate of participation with comments from their teachers.
This can be used to approach casting directors and agents in the industry as proof of your commitment to training
Costumes and scenery provided by us
There should be no hidden costs when it comes to enjoying your week.
Each child gets a high quality costume to borrow for the show before giving it back to our costume department
Shows filmed for convenience
We appreciate that some parents may be unable to watch the end of week shows.
That's why we film every show and send it onto parents within 72 hours.
Shows are never published for the public, - they are sent privately to parents.

Who are the teachers?We are a team of professional performers aged 21 - 32 working within the UK performance Industry. Safeguarding is our top priority - and parents can feel safe knowing that they can request to see our Staffs' Enhanced DBS reports at any time. Check our policies if you want to know more about our Safeguarding and Protection of children. We are an OFSTED registered company in the UK. This is the UK child protection regulatory body and we adhere to their standards on all global camps. We only teach performing arts, we will never teach children how or what to think. Our aim is make the next generations confident, kind leaders in which ever line of work they choose. We provide a productive form of child care as we aim to build children's confidence and public speaking skills in safe environment during their school holidays. As actors, we are trained to be expressive, animated and confident people - which is perfect when you are working with children!

What will the children learn during the week?Our courses are a great way to help children to become more confident in speaking skills for their future working lives. With a 20-minute performance performed for their parents at the end of each week, students have the opportunity to develop their public speaking skills in front of a crowd of parents - a very important tool for later in life. Students are given a script, costume, certificate and video of their final performance show family and friends after the camp! In addition, with water games, language games, arts and crafts and ball games in between our drama-based activities, our Holiday Camps are a great way to spend the holidays for all children!

When and where do the Junior Holiday Camps take place?Camps take place in your local city - we come to you! Check our interactive map below to see all locations. We work with private and international schools across the world to bring ages 5 - 6 / 7 - 9 / 10 - 12 Junior Holiday camps to your local area. We only work with schools who maintain a high standard of health & safety and safeguarding practices within their facilities. Camps take place in the school holidays and usually consists of five camp days from 09.00 until 16.00 from Monday to Friday. How do I sign up for the camp?Register below today! Choose an event and fill out your details online and we will see you there.

Ages of the children?5 - 6 / 7- 9 / 10 - 12, split into separate age groups. If you'd like to request to join an older age group, just tell us when you register.

What are the benefits of the holiday camps?Improve confidence and communication skills in English! The best way to build your public speaking skills is to perform to a crowd, we'll teach you how to do it. We aim to improve children's confidence and online communication skills through fun activities, theatre projects and games.

How will the British Theatre School ensure a safe environment for learning?Our BA-qualified British actors and child-care workers are selected through 2 stage interview process and must have performed in the Junior Holiday Camp leader position in the UK and further undergo our own in-house & online training process as well as: An Enhanced DBS police background checks A Safeguarding level 3 Course A Designated Safeguarding Lead Provide references from at least 3 previous employers one member of the team on each camp holds a recognised Pediatric First Aid qualification Unlike many companies, we work with a small team of regular supervisors w All recruitment is performed in accordance with UK Government & OFSTED Safe Recruitment guidelines, for more information please see our Policies page.

What will I need to prepare?Nothing! We provide all scripts, costumes, props, scenery and materials. Just bring a lot of energy and be ready to have fun.

Where will my children need to be?Please arrive 10 minutes before at the location specified on the confirmation email and the online event page.

Can parents take watch the end-of-week performance?Of course, parents can watch it! If you are able to take time out of your day to come to the short performance each Friday afternoon, we would appreciate it. Please check your event details to know at what time this will take place in your area. However, if you're unable to attend, we will record the shows and send them to you within 1 - 2 weeks, so don't worry if not everyone can attend!

Do my children need to be confident / have acting experience?Not at all! The whole point of our camps is for children to improve their confidence, social skills and performance capabilities for children who need a boost in confidence. All levels of ability are welcome. Our friendly team have years of experience in bringing out the best in children's personalities.
